Small Grants
The Sport England Small Grants Programme uses Lottery funding to make awards of between £300 and £10,000 to not-for-profit organisations to help more young people (aged 14+) and adults take and keep a sporting habit for life. This fund is open all year round and has an approximate 8 week turnaround for a response
Protecting Playing Fields
A grant to support Cricket, Football, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Softball/Baseball, Hockey, Lacrosse, Polo, Rounders & Archery
This fund is currently closed but is expected to open up again later in 2014
This programme is for playing field improvements that will contribute to both retaining and increasing participants in sport across England at the local level. It will fund capital projects that create, develop and improve playing fields for sporting and community use and offer long term protection of the site for sport. Projects are likely to involve the construction of new natural turf pitches or improvement of existing ones that need leveling or drainage works.
Inspired Facilities
Sport England is investing £50 million of National Lottery funding into community and voluntary groups to improve exisitng facilities or develop non-sporting venues into modern community sports facilities. Sports Clubs can apply for up to £75,000.
This fund is open all year round. Applications submitted by 6th June will be reviewed in September panel. Applications submitted by 3rd November will be reviewed in February panel.

Derbyshire Commuinity Foundation
The foundation have several funds available of approx £1,000. Most are open all year round. It is recommended that you contact one of the staff to talk about your grant before you apply.
Derbyshire Coach Bursary Fund
Apply for a bursary to subsidise the cost of your coaching courses. COACHES have to apply. CLUBS are not able to apply as a collective. Every sport can apply although larger amounts of funding are available for 'Derbyshire Institute of Sport' Sports. For more information view the website. The bursary fund is part of the Coaching Derbyshire structure and also includes Coach Education programmes.
